Cost of course
Upon completion of this course, you will receive an in-house certificate free of charge. Alternatively, there will be an option to register with NCFE to receive an accredited qualification and certificate for the price of £56.

Entry Requirements
Completion of a level 1 Digital/IT Qualification or experienced in using computers.

Course Intent
The aim of this qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate understanding of and competency in digital literacy skills. This will help with progression towards a work role, access other opportunities where digital literacy skills are a requirement. This can also support those with IT skills and experience but no formal qualification. This qualification consists of four mandatory units which will enable learners to: - Understand how to protect devices and date - Communicate socially and professionally using technology - Apply digital skills in personal and business situations - Use digital resources to facilitate their own career progression

How will the course be delivered?
You will be working with your tutor and other students on a weekly bases face to face, completing an electronic portfolio of evidence required for this qualification.

Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
There is an amount of work for you to do in your own time for this qualification. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours per week for this. There will be formal assignments which may include written work, research, reading or preparing presentations.

How will I know I’m making progress?
Your tutor will set objectives for each session and give feedback on how you are progressing. You will agree personal targets as part of your Individual Learning Plan (ILP), and you will review your targets throughout the course to check your own progress. You will complete assignments with deadlines, these will be assessed regularly, and feedback given to support your portfolio of work, required to meet the standards.

What will I need for the course?
You will need use of a desktop or laptop with access to the internet. Please bring a pen and notepad to each session.
